Spirit Paths Part One focuses on the fundamental concepts of the program and includes: Way of the Warrior: Preparation for the journey. It takes determination and fortitude to encounter the Quest to change your life and way of being in the world. It take energy, as well, and in this chapter, you begin to redirect the energy you now use to maintain the life you are living. In addition, you discover new sources and new ways to regain energy that you lost and continue to lose. Serpent: The Path of Awareness: About awareness and perception. In this chapter you initiate the process to deconstruct the way that you build your awareness. In that process, you also learn new ways to "see" the world as a whole–more balanced and powerful ways that will lead to change. Wolf: The Path of the Hunter: Addresses how perception is used most properly and more helpfully than you have been taught all of your life. As a Hunter, Wolf's abilities to process information, form accurate strategies, and move stealthily in new and remarkable ways make consciousness an ally, rather than an enemy. Spirit Paths Part Two expands into the broader arena, including the effects of the past and ancestry, bringing authenticity into both the future and to community, and the even more expansive view of spiritual eldership. Buffalo: The Path of the Soul: addresses past and future: what you bring forward from your ancestry, and what you project forward into the future that you want to create. It leads to deep healing of your ancestry, including ancestral wounds and curses. It also allows the opportunity to find new allies and teachers among the people in your lineage. Buffalo explores how you can powerfully address your future by engaging the guidance Spirit to help you create your Destiny. Beginning with this work, you begin to abandon the dictates of Fate. Tribe: The Path of Community: explores relationships and community. As you change, you will inevitably find that current relationships get challenged. Not everyone will like who you are becoming; not everyone will be helpful in your future. The questions become: "How will I find new relationships? How do I find or create authentic community?" This section will offer both answers and hope. Eagle: The Path of Spirit: In the end, you will find the desire to expand yourself even further. Living from your authenticity, you will inevitably desire one of the three basic human needs: The need to feel useful, to give back. Eagle flies at great height and its perspective spans both past and future. From that perspective, you will learn to give back, to heal the world, with power and grace. |

| About the Author and Facilitator | |||||||||||
Gerry Starnes, M.Ed., originator of the Spirit Paths™ program in 2008, began his practice in the mid-1970s, using both psychological and medical treatment models. Finding the results of these modalities limited, he began a 20-year journey through energy healing and other alternative methods of healing. In the 1990s he encountered shamanism, and found it to be the most powerful methodology for healing in all the realms. As a contemporary shamanic practitioner, he now offers group and individual sessions, holds regular classes, and presents a variety of workshops in Texas.
